About Us
Who are the Midnight Rogues
We are a burlesque troupe who run dance classes, workshops and host our own regular shows and performances. We have come together through a love of burlesque and created a community where we support, encourage and develop each other. Anyone (over 18) who’s interested can join either our classes, workshops or be part of our shows in whatever way they want, as performers or helping to put on the show. We have over 12 years of experience in burlesque, teaching, performing and producing shows and we welcome anyone with experience or people that are new to the world of burlesque.
A supportive community
Being a part of the Midnight Rogues Burlesque means we support each other as part of our community and create a safe space for everyone to be able to express themselves freely while learning the art of burlesque dancing. It is important to us that everybody feels comfortable in what they do, and we are here to help people, build people’s confidence and enable them to see that they are amazing and beautiful.
Empowering each other is at the heart of what it means to be a Midnight Rogue. We inspire each other and everyone who is part of our community and believe that wellness is a key factor in gaining confidence and creating a positive atmosphere for everyone.
Workshops on stage skills and other techniques
We run dance classes where we will teach you a routine over a few weeks, and we will also teach you how to walk like a burlesque dancer, how to pose and how to remove certain items of clothing in a tantalising and sexy manner.
You can also attend our workshops to help develop your burlesque character and learn more about specific areas of burlesque, such as chair dancing, fan dancing, floorwork etc. We can also run workshops on costume creation, stage makeup, choregraphing a solo - we have every aspect of being in a dance group covered.
Stage performances and events
Not only are our dance classes a great way to get fit, keep active and meet people but you will also have the opportunity to get up on stage and perform in our shows and events. Performing isn't for everyone so we know some of our Rogues would prefer to just have a giggle in the classes and learn the routines, and that's fine too - we want everyone to have a great time so there's never any pressure to get on stage or reveal anything you'd rather not.
